paint and progress and slacking off

Hey, y’all. Happy Sunday. I have sunshine. My coffee could be bigger, but I’m fine otherwise.

We went grocery shopping. I didn’t find anything I really needed to buy. I grabbed some of my basic, weekly staples and some Cajun spice mix for Shawshank.

Speaking of him, I’m assuming he’s asleep. TinyTown‘s power was on and off last night. It was on when we said goodnight, but just barely. I’m assuming his alarm clock is off and he’s sleeping in.

Once we were back at the house, I dragged a bunch of art supplies outside. There was enough of a breeze to dry the paint quickly, but not strong enough to blow everything off the table. I finished the ouroboros. Anything else I could do to it would be overkill and unnecessary. I added blue to the confusion illusion painting. That one is a side project at this point. Eventually I’ll finish it, but it’s not a priority.

There’s some progress in the house portraits. I’m starting to get a feel for how I like do them. Since I finished both the schoolhouse and the lighthouse, I could move on to something else. I started the first of the two houses from the Netflix series Dark, actually making more progress than I expected. I’m also working on the ground and horizon in the Victorian prairie house.

I made my favorite “ok to gorge” meal for dinner last night. Mom was using some leftover Easter ham to make a quiche. Quiche isn’t my favorite. I’ll eat it, but I won’t take much and I’ll cover it in barbeque or hot sauce. Instead, I butchered a head of cauliflower, gave it a light panko breading, and baked it. Once it was out of the oven, I tossed it in hot sauce.

bam.

Guilt-free binge meal.

Today, we’re going to the Compound for dinner, but I’m going to be a slacker otherwise. Maybe some paint, maybe some spin time, but definitely some time on the Switch.
