I’m sore and bored but I have expensive shoes

There is not enough coffee in this house this morning. I feel like I could sleep for another hour or two. I even went to bed earlier than usual. Chaucer is sitting in front of their bedroom door, waiting for his BFF to finish dressing and come out. Knickknack is stomping around.

Sounds like Sunday.

We did the weekend shopping yesterday. We hit Walmart for food, then came home for lunch. After lunch, we drove out to the outlet stores in Alabama. Brian didn’t find any new work boots, but the two of us bought sandals. I bought some Doc Marten’s sandals, which are causing some a lot of buyer’s remorse.

On a positive note, I did go outside and spin. I got out after dark. Honestly, as great as I felt out there, I shouldn’t have done it. Most of the movements I’m drilling are arm extensions, and they’re hard on the shoulders. Additionally, I’m trying to work focus on working my “dork side”*. While I’m left-handed when it comes to writing and painting, I use my right hand for pretty much everything else. When I spin poi, most of the time it’s like that side is always a follower, and never a leader. My left side is just there saying, “oh, we’re going this way? ok then…” As a result of Friday’s double session, as well as yesterday’s, my left shoulder is burning.

Today, we’re having dinner at the Compound. The weather is supposed to be clear, so I could go outside and paint on the back patio. Otherwise, I’m on a rest day. No spinning. No nothing. I’ll play some Baldur’s Gate 2 tonight.
