Good morning, and happy Friday. We have some sunshine, and the skies are pretty clear today. The local forecast says we might see a passing shower, and it will only be really warm for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. However, overall it should be nice out.
Mom needed to go to the post office yesterday, and I stayed home. The weather was awesome, and I opted to find some music and play in the backyard for a while. I haven’t really been outside in the sun since before my trip. When I flew out on December 1st, the weather here was just starting to cool down enough to keep me from sitting outside all day. I could spin poi, but the temperature wasn’t warm enough to paint all afternoon. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do either outdoor activity up in Sadsweatythong Crassitchydong Saskatchewan. I made it outside for a few sessions of poi while I was there, but they weren’t very frequent. I certainly couldn’t paint out there.
But, I was able to go outside yesterday, and it was nice.
I wasn’t outside for very long, mostly because I went hard right out of the gate, so to speak. I’m absolutely falling in love with the podpoi all over again; they’re the perfect weight. My only wish would be to upgrade their tethers to Flowtoys’ new cord. In a perfect world, I could devise a way to swap the LED knobs between the two sets of poi. I’d love for both Flowtoys sets to match, but it’s an aesthetic thing, not a functional thing. Sure, they’d be nice, but is it worth the $120 to upgrade? Not really.
Brian’s parents sent me a birthday card with $10 in it. This is an upgrade from the $2 bill I’ve gotten for the last 25 years. I still feel like an afterthought when it comes to people. I was incredibly angry about the birthday last night. Seething. There was angry typing.
Nothing was resolved. Still upset.
Aside from the 45 minutes of spin time yesterday, there wasn’t much happening yesterday. I did my laundry as planned. Since I bleached my hair a couple of days ago, I decided to slap some color on. Whatever conditioner I mixed to dilute the color reacted really badly, and I had color running every where. I felt like I was leaking Kool-Aid. In a complete change from my normal procedure, I only left the dye on my head for about 15 minutes. I’d estimate that half of those minutes were spent trying to keep the dye on my head and not the floor, the wall, or running into my asscrack. I was hoping to have a dark pink instead of the red I’d bought, and the result is a sort of pinky-peach. It’ll do.
