Good morning, my darlings. Happy Tuesday. We’ve got sunshine and temps above freezing, which is damned amazing in my opinion. If the slick coating of frost on the walk burns off in the sunlight, I should be able to spin the poi outside for a little while.

Yesterday was a day. Neither of us thought it was a bad day, but it was a long day. After picking up Shawshank‘s mom and grandmother, we drove about 30 minutes in one direction to BiggerTown. We picked up the parts his father needed, then bought a few things at the grocery store. At some point in our travels, it came up something needed to be picked up in Slightly BiggerTown. Given the option between going back to the Flat and being shepherded around the landscape, I chose to sit in the truck and watch the world go by.

Like Pensacola, I have pockets of familiarity here in TinyTown and the surrounding towns. Sadly, I don’t know how those pockets fit together. Additionally, I have a long history of terrible navigational decisions. Unfortunately for Shawshank, who was chauffeur for the day, I had unknowingly just set him up for a 90-minute drive to Slightly BiggerTown.

He got us to Slightly BiggerTown and we got the bit we needed. On the way out of town, we stopped at Tim Horton’s for bathroom breaks and snacks. Shawshank bought me a Tim Biebs fanny pack, which is hysterical and awesome in a way that doesn’t make much sense to me but I’m going with it. As he pointed out, I haven’t really bought myself any souvenirs of this trip, and if I didn’t get one, I’d regret it three days after setting foot south of The Wall.

Oh, Crystal, you might ask, what are Tim Biebs?

Tim Biebs are a heinous doughnut collaboration between Tim Horton’s and Justin Bieber. Aside from diabetes, the entire purpose of Tim Biebs is to give me the ability to talk about Justin Bieber’s balls.

Balls and fannies taken care of and doughnut treats procured, we drove out to the farm with all the deliveries. We didn’t stay very long. I think we were there only long enough for Shawshank to take my picture in front of one of the enormous tractors. Eventually, about five hours later, we were back at the flat. We bought a fantastic pizza for dinner, and curled up on the couch for some well-deserved snuggles.

Shawshank‘s back to work today. Once we have some lunch, I’ll get some clothes on go outside for a little while.
