Tuesday. Not quite Monday, too early to be midweek, not even close to Friday. The laundry is running, aaaaaand there’s a flash flood watch. Last week, Mom and I bolted outside to rip the almost dry clothes off the lines before they were soaked again. I expect we might have a similar situation today.
We went out yesterday, making a couple of quick stops. I managed to figure out how to get to the second stop without Mom’s help, and without finding a landmark. Considering how terrible I am with directions, she was impressed. However, this area is laid out in a grid rather than Rhode Island’s method of paving over winding, pre-Revolution cow paths and calling it good.
Considering the weather forecast is calling for rain off and on all week, I spent a little time in the yard while I could. It was very windy, and my fabric poi were almost too lightweight to spin.
My only plans for today involve a workout. Brian found me a bucket with a lid, which I plan to use to store my biggest kettlebell on the patio. The rain isn’t supposed to be here until afternoon, but I should work out before the humidity makes things too oppressive out there. On a positive note, it’s overcast, so the sun won’t be beating down on me at least.
