A Dreary Day

A Dreary Day

Good morning, my darling friends. Welcome to a new week. I’ve got a cup of tea, and a cat, and too little sleep. Even though I passed right out as soon as I said good night to Shawshank, I feel like I could sleep another eight hours.

The Monday before a major holiday weekend is usually awful at work, especially if it’s a long holiday weekend. Thanksgiving weekend is also a huge travel weekend. I’m not sure how much of a difference the pandemic will make in the pharmacy. I don’t expect much difference, honestly. Local people are terrible about following the rules. DayTech invited me to her family’s Thanksgiving; I’m tempted to go if no one else invites me. On the other hand, she’s in the city with the highest infection rate in the state. It’s not just her household, it would be her mother and some siblings as well.

Will the local Chinese place be open? I could have a delicious feast that would last me at least two days for no more than $20.

I relaxed yesterday. Shawshank suggested a long workout in the morning, and I made it through another 80-minute body blast. I finished around lunchtime, and rewarded myself with a delicious bagel. After lunch, I went out and did the weekly shopping. I spent more than I wanted to, unfortunately, but there were things that I needed.

Today, I’m working with the new guy. DayTech is in at noon. It’s supposed to rain all day, which might keep business down somewhat. Our agent will stop by at some point, and put up the FOR SALE sign in the yard. I look forward to leaving at 5pm and coming home for a bowl of spicy shrimp and rice.

Have a good Monday, my friends.
