Happy Monday, everyone. It’s looking beautiful outside, but it’s supposed to turn stormy in a few hours. I’m ok with storms. I spent most of my time after dinner last night transcribing Shawshank‘s letters for his memoirs: Void if Removed: The Memoirs of an ICE Detainee. Messing with all the stuff that goes with setting up a new blog always makes it a little more difficult to fall asleep. I allowed myself to get an extra 45 minutes of sleep.
Today will be at least half bad. Whatshisname will be the pharmacist for part of the shift. Since DayTech is still in quarantine for the time being, the fill-in tech is covering her shift. DayTech’s really hoping she can return to work once her husband tests negative for Covid-19. Her own test came back negative. NewTech is on the schedule for tonight, will she actually make it in for a shift? Who knows? I’m happy to report that my own test came back negative. That’s a big weight off my shoulders, and probably those of StressedRPh, who won’t need to find more tech coverage.
It made Shawshank happy to hear about the negative test. He was very worried about me. I don’t think he was worried I’d die, but only that I’d be alone at home without anyone to help me. He’s very much a nursemaid when I’m sick.
At some point today or tomorrow, my lawn will be mowed. I’ll leave the house and the grass will be a shaggy mess, and it will be tidy upon my return. It’ll be magic. Landscaping house elves. I never got the chance to talk to my neighbor about doing mine when he does his own lawn, but I’ll deal.
Aside from work, my only other plans for the day are to eat a lovely sweet potato breakfast bowl for dinner, and then do a workout. If I can transcribe another letter or two, awesome.
Time to start my day. Unfortunately, I need to actually brush my hair. I don’t know what I’m going to do if that centipede is still hiding under my hairbrush.
