Hello, Friday. It’s a bright and sunny morning. I was a little warmer last night; the overnight temps aren’t dipping into freezing this week, and if they do, we have functioning heat now. I need to remember to dress accordingly.
We enjoyed another lazy day. Shawshank had the day off, so he could take it easy and recover from whatever germ hit him on Wednesday. We watched more “Murder, She Wrote”, and I sewed up my hat. I saved myself a bunch of time by pulling out the iron instead of the sewing machine, and simply pressing an edge down so it would look nicer when finished. I sewed on the second ruffle, then added a lace ruffle as well, to hide all the imperfections.
It’s cute. I expect the costume’s apron will be faster to construct, because it’s all machine sewn. There are ruffles, but nothing too insane, and it’s almost all straight lines. Shawshank has already helpfully reminded me that I need to finish the clown knickers when I finish this morning post.
Shawshank has work tonight and tomorrow morning. I set my hair on curlers last night, so I can expect some sort of chaos in my hair when I pull them out later today. I’m clown camming tonight, and the wild hair might be just the thing I need to set the mood.
