Greetings, y’all. It’s Sunday, but in name only. The skies are looking kinda dreary out there, friends. A fitting match for a day that started off with Podrick being an ass and kicked out of the bedroom early.
We had a nice day at home. It’s a holiday weekend, and there’s shenanigans afoot in TinyTown. Yesterday, we stood in the yard and watched the town parade. Here’s two tractors.
I did a bong hit in front of a member of Parliament. After the parade, we went out briefly for some things to make a nacho dinner, grabbing a pound of bison at the butcher shop and a block of Velveeta at the grocery store.
Once we came home, I played NieR:Automata all afternoon. I really like how big the game feels while still keeping the player on a story line. I’m sure I could run around and find all the points of interest on the map, but the game does a good job of stopping that in natural ways. It also seamlessly blended a bunch of different game styles in a way that doesn’t feel convoluted. And above all, it’s just fucking gorgeous. The open world areas manage to be both vibrant and desolately empty. The game has even made me like the platformer parts.
Today, we’re kicking it at home. We’ll figure out something for dinner, and we’ll play games and stuff.
Oh, and it’s our anniversary or something.
