yet another

I heard thunder this morning. I haven’t heard much thunder since I left Florida. Even though it was 5:30am, I’ll accept early wake up calls in the case of storms. The wind was whipping the curtains and rattling the blinds in the bedroom. I got up just long enough to close the front door so the rug didn’t get rained on. The sky was all sunrise and clouds. I gave up trying to sleep after 6.

Sloth Day was ok. We had a great brunch. I was excited because the Switch dock I ordered over a week ago arrived a day early. Shawshank walked up to the post office and picked up my package in the afternoon, and I brought some poi outside to absorb some sunlight while he was gone. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong thing because I tried to save $5. The not-a-dock was the second attempt to get the Switch working with the TV again, following the replacement cord we bought almost 3 weeks ago. I stuck with the spin time for another 10 minutes, but my annoyance about having to buy yet another fucking peripheral* got the better of me. Mood killed, I went back inside for a while.

Avengers made in a typical harem pants style, while the floral and satin are my “gremlin style” design.

Later, I took some pants pics outside on the back steps. The afternoon light worked in my favor, for the most part. The sun wasn’t at a completely wrong angle, but made things difficult to see unless I had my phone in exactly the right spot. If I had waited another hour, I probably wouldn’t have had any problems.

I’m still trying to work out the best place in the yard to take pics. Sticking to the patio is nice, because I don’t need to put my shoes back on between wardrobe changes. Footwear – or lack thereof – aside, I’ve got half the photos for this week’s listings taken. I feel like I’m slightly ahead of my “schedule” for the week.

Over the course of the rest of the day, I managed to slide in a couple of extra poi sessions. I played with the sock poi and the big balls, as well as taking out the newly-modified fire poi for a dry run.

Today’s going to be about the same as yesterday. From the sounds of it, dudes have started working on the apartments across the street. Shawshank has work this morning, but will be home sometime around lunchtime. I’ve got at least one pair of pants to put elastic into. The vacuum has come out from its lair, and I’ll probably go take a bubble bath while it does its thing. Maybe I’ll hotbox the bathroom.

* and waiting another 10 days for it to get here
