Is it Thursday? I think it’s Thursday. Shawshank‘s extra day off left me confused. Despite participating in several smutty Wednesday-themed Twitter threads, I thought yesterday was Tuesday for most of the day. That was, until after dinner, when I suddenly thought it was Thursday.
I made an attempt to “work” yesterday. I twittered for an hour or so, and attempted to make some “content”. That was a dismal failure, as I was in a decidedly un-sexy mood. I gave up after a handful of pics.
Instead, I put on some makeup so I could pretend to be human and had lunch with Shawshank. He hopped out of his shop early enough to pick up the second game box at the post office before coming home. If he hadn’t, I’d have had to wait until he came home to prime them. I’d spend the entire day wishing I had them, but not going to the post office myself to pick it up.
I primed the two new armies after lunch, and now about 25 assorted minis are stationed on the kitchen table. While the primer dried on the new batch, I pulled the airbrush hoses out of the craft drawer. I’ve gone through several airbrushes, hoses, and compressors over the last ten years. However, it’s been nearly three years since they’ve been hooked up at this point. None of the components were stored together, and I brought up a spare compressor that I’ve never used. I honestly had no idea whether I had three compatible parts to connect.
Fortunately, one of three hoses was the correct size. Everything is all connected, but I’ve yet to turn the compressor on. I was going to try it out yesterday, but didn’t bother. I wasn’t going to mix up paint just to paint the equivalent of my thumbnail. If I had a top-loading airbrush, maybe; the bottom-fed paint pot needs too much paint. I have a plan for one of the other armies that will let me test the compressor this weekend.
Today – Thursday – I’m going to put on some makeup, and I’m going to wear real clothes. I never did find my way into the tub yesterday, so that’s on the afternoon agenda. Can I paint from the tub?
