Good morning, y’all. The sun has returned!

I had a shit stream yesterday. I started things a little earlier, since Shawshank was working holiday hours. Both cats were being awful during setup, leaving me in a shitty mood when I actually started the stream. In an attempt to lean into the dommy aspect of my overall vibe, I locked chat to tippers only. I didn’t even super-lock it – the minimum was 1 token – but it was unbearably quiet for me. I’ll unlock it today, and work on my vocal “encouragement” skills instead.

I also modified some of the rotating notices that show up in chat to explain the rules of my game, but the app I use only handles 10 notices, and I feel like half of them don’t pop up. I found a new app that can hold 20 messages this morning, and added some more encouraging notices. I’ve unlocked chat again, and between the open chat and new notices, we’ll see how it goes tonight.

After tonight’s shift, we have two days off. We’re having Shawshank‘s mom over for dinner tomorrow.
