The gray clouds are back once more, and the forecast claims they’re here for the day.
Shawshank left yesterday afternoon, and I immediately set up the lights in the bedroom. I smoked a bowl, and started producing smut. I was editing videos within an hour, and uploading in the next. It wasn’t a bad afternoon.
The cats were good little fireballs in the afternoon. Pippin was sleeping in the window bed, and Podrick eventually jumped up and joined her. He very quickly laid down beside her before she could protest too much. She wasn’t too impressed. Podrick rubbed his head against her, and she looked at me like an offended cinnamon roll. He settled down and rested his head on her, and they slept like that in the gray afternoon light.
After dinner, when I wanted to just chillax on the couch with the Foot Clan, that’s when the problems started. I had been streaming for about 15 minutes when the first cat got behind the TV, requiring me to get up and pull someone out. After a few minutes, the second cat had to go back there. I ended up killing the stream and spent the next 10 minutes screaming at both cats for their continued efforts to destroy our expensive home entertainment tech. Eventually, Pippin hid and Podrick settled down, and I could restart the stream. I ended up making about $11 before Podrick woke up again. He immediately made a beeline for the back of the TV. I turned off the stream, threw Podrick into the bedroom, and closed the door.
The two cats were locked in the bedroom together for about 30 minutes. It wasn’t my intention, because it’s not fair to do that to Pippin, but in that moment, I did not give a single, solitary fuck. I had been up and down off the couch at least six times in four minutes. That bedroom door could have been hiding the Overlook hotel’s room 237 right then and I would have been like
They stayed in the bedroom until Shawshank came home and let them out.
Shawshank is working a closing shift today, so my afternoon won’t be much different than any other day. I’ll be scheduling more stuff to post. We’ll see if the cats give me more shit today.
