Morning, folks. Happy Tuesday. I crawled out of bed early today because it’s laundry day and if I didn’t get up, clothes would be put off. Mom probably wouldn’t come in to get my clothes. At the same time, I doubt she’d start hers until I brought mine out.
Regardless, I’m up. My clothes are by the washer. I’m still somewhat sleepy.

I opted to hang back at the vaccine clinic yesterday, instead of trying to sneak in without an appointment. All of the morning appointments were for people receiving their second doses. Everyone’s appointments for yesterday were based on the appointment time of their first dose. Makes sense, right?
However, they actually opened a slightly earlier than scheduled that first day. As a result, they scheduled yesterday’s appointments starting at 7:45am, but didn’t intend to open until 8am. At 7:55, one of the volunteers called for anyone with an 8am appointment to come up. Suddenly there’s fifteen people at the front of the line with 8am appointments. Aaaaaand they all jumped in front of an equal number of people, who are now shouting about their pre-8am appointments and THEY WERE HERE FIRST.
I told Mom and Brian’s mother to go on ahead, and hung out by a shrubbery.
After the shot that wasn’t to be, we stopped and bought some plants. I picked up a bigger pot for the succulents I brought with me from Rhode Island. They’d come with us from my mother’s house when we bought our place. Before that, they’d been brought from my grandmother’s house on the island. I wasn’t leaving Rhode Island without some of them. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a big pot at home. I transported two of them in tiny mason jars in the box with Stumpy the Wonder Chicken. Now, they share a much bigger pot with two others, and live on the front porch.
I don’t think there’s any plans today. Mom wants to do some more yard work. I might go to Walmart to pick up some yogurt for my lunch. That requires actual clothes, however, and most of mine are in the wash right now.
Idk if you got a vaccine yet or maybe already know this .. but if your mom goes with her proof of residency and a letter stating you reside with her that’s supposed to be enough proof according to the FL guideline .. just an FYI .. ignore if no longer needed lol
I’ve got an appointment on Saturday, so I’m taking whatever I have and her!
