we seek friendship

Good morning, happy Monday, etc., etc. Mom has a load of laundry starting. The cats are fed, the coffee is hot. Knickknack has worked herself up into a coughing fit because Chaucer looked at her. Just another Monday morning.

I spent yesterday playing The Witcher 3 again. I regret nothing. We didn’t go to the Compound, since Brian wanted to stay home and watch football. However, since Mom had planned on eating there, she never planned to make dinner. Around 6pm, she declared she was making cinnamon rolls for dinner, she just didn’t give a shit about making anything.

Fine by me.

I finished the day with two more episodes of TNG after my chat with Shawshank. I’ve opted to power through the first season instead of taking a friend’s advice to skip everything between the first and last episodes and move straight to the second season. Last night’s episodes were “The Last Outpost” and “Where No One Has Gone Before”. Five episodes in at this point, and there’s a lot to enjoy, but also a lot of really cringe-worthy stuff.

I might leave the house today, I haven’t quite decided. I have some stuff I want to mail up to Shawshank before I fly up in two weeks, but I’m not sure if I will. None of it is important, however, and doesn’t need to go up immediately. A couple of scarfs as gifts will be just fine to bring with up with me. Honestly, this other stuff has been in a half-filled box beside my bedroom door for two months now, so I really should send it. I don’t expect to be packing an insane amount of stuff for my trip, but aside from the scarfs, it’s more than I want to carry up. I’ll need to run up to the smoke shop this week.

It’s just a matter of when, not if, I leave the house this week.
