two galleries and a bunch of words

We were out of the house and on the road early yesterday morning. I skipped coffee and simply become a person and Shawshank put me in the truck and we were on our way. We had a long way to drive, and there was going to be a side trip with a few stops along the way to me to see some tourist attractions. I was stoked to realize we would be on the road at both dawn and dusk. I wasn’t disappointed. Honestly, the only disappointment is that I know these photos don’t do justice to the actual scenes.

Our side trip was to check out the towns of Kipling and Montmartre. Both towns have giant roadside shit to take pictures in front of. Kipling has a giant red paperclip, and Montmartre has a small Eiffel Tower. Shawshank has brought a tripod so we could take pictures in front of them. Unfortunately, it was cumbersome and we forgot about it after Kipling.

Also, when the temperature is about -14°F, DON’T TOUCH THE METAL PAPERCLIP WITHOUT MITTENS. I’m a special kind of stupid sometimes.

We eventually ended up in Regina and did a bunch of shopping and spent a bunch of money. It was a good day. I didn’t freak out about either of us spending. In fact, I’m actually sad I didn’t spend more.

Sundays are chore days. Shawshank‘s got the first batch of clothes in the wash, some cleanser in the shower, and an episode of Tapletop Tactics on the TV. He’s built a new miniature, and he just taped a Warhammer poster to a closet door. I already worked on the sketch of the shop, and I’ll start painting it later today. I need to assume a human form because we’re going to Shady Acres for dinner.
