Good morning, y’all. Happy Tuesday. The sun is out (sorta), it’s not freezing, and it’s my mother’s birthday. Yay.
I wished her a happy birthday already. Shawshank is sending off a package for her today, and I’ll find something on Amazon to tide her over until it makes its way south of The Wall.
We had a good Sloth Day. Shawshank made us a tasty brunch. For the most part, I worked on crafty things. I cut and pressed about 8 yards of binding for the technicolor dreamcoat, but didn’t do anything else with that project. At the moment, I don’t want to do anything with the coat until I finish the red genie pants. This is mostly out of the sheer laziness of reloading thread in my machine, but practical reasons as well. I have a very limited supply of red thread right now; it perfectly matches the pants, and I don’t want to waste even a little bit. Once I install the elastic and sew up the waistband and ankle cuffs, then I’ll worry about binding the edges of the patchwork horror.
Today, we’re looking at a pretty normal week. Shawshank returns to work, and I’ll figure out some way to self-amuse. I have two packages – more elastic and a new tripod – hopefully coming in today. Both orders will have me being productive during the days again. I also need to order Shawshank‘s birthday present. It won’t be here in time for his actual birthday, but nothing ever is unless I order it 3+ weeks in advance.
