Things just are

Greetings and salutations, my lovely friends. Happy Thursday. We’re looking at some thunderstorms for the day. I’m ok with that; thunderstorms are my favorite type of weather.

I bought a second cat carrier last night. The first one is in the dining room right now. Its door is open, I wanted the cats to get used to it so I put some catnip and one of Shawshank‘s hoodies inside. Mal ran right in because he loves catnip. Chaucer seems to remember his last trip(s) in the carrier. He slinks by it as though he thinks it might come after him. It’s directly across from the Pink Room’s doorway, and he glares at it every time he comes out of the room. The new carrier will be here tomorrow, and then he’ll have two of them to be angry about.

He’ll be even angrier in 10 days when I bring them to the vet for their shots.

Last night, I told Shawshank that as much as I complain about how much stuff is left, I finally feel like I’ve made some headway. The basement is pretty clear. Aside from leftover cardboard boxes that didn’t make it upstairs this week, there’s not a lot down there. I have someone who is supposed to pick up the Christmas tree this morning. Upstairs is just the dresser and two end tables.

This weekend, I’ll take pics of those and the power tools and list them on Facebook. With any luck, the stuff I listed on eBay over the last few days will sell, and I’ll have some extra spending money. I’ve got bids on one of the doorstop banks, and some watchers on the others.

I stopped at the grocery store last night. I was chuffed to find a small bag of Brussels sprouts on its last day, with a coupon for $1 off its sale price. Guess who gorged on sprouts last night?

I also picked up the previously mentioned Kraft Dinner and some yogurt and cheese. Aside from buying some milk, I should be pretty well set on dinners for a while.

Today’s shift is another mystery. I think it’s a full shift with one of the floaters. Unfortunately, I forgot to look at the calendar before I left work last night. Things went ok yesterday, just busy. DayTech doesn’t come until until mid-afternoon, and I do most of the work until then. Half and hour before DayTech came in, with the daily shipment barely touched and a stack of patient orders to be done, StressedRPh looked at me and asked, “have you made any of the patient calls at all today?” No, I fucking haven’t. I’ve been fucking handling everything else.

I’ve got a morning workout planned, and some eBay auctions to pack up this morning. Let’s hope the Christmas tree people don’t flake out on me.

But first, let’s finish the coffee. Have a good Thursday, my friends. ☕
