sunny day with chance of goats

Hello, world. I’m up. Shawshank is already at work. Pippin is yelling at me. Some days it’s like living with a slightly vocal toddler: she has big feelings, and not enough words. I’ve never wanted to understand animal language more.

We had a good Friday. Shawshank and I went out to Slightly BiggerTown and did the shopping. It was a nice drive. I asked if we had a list, but Shawshank said we’d wing it. Between trips to the grocery store, the pharmacy, and the hardware store, we grabbed assorted things to get through the next week or so. The dispo was running a sale on edibles, with $1 gummies, so we bought ourselves some treats with the rest of the regular marijuana and marijuana accessories. After a final trip to get lunch, we had everything we needed, except for light bulbs.

We didn’t notice the lack of light bulbs until some time after lunch. Shawshank went out to the hardware store in town to get some. He immediately came back home to pick me up, saying he had a surprise for me. For a solid 3 minutes, until I got into the store, I was convinced they had kittens. Nope! The store has 5 baby goats in a pen, tiny babies being bottle fed because their moms couldn’t handle them. Shawshank held one of the goatlings, while I petted one of the others.

The idea of picking one up and it yeeting itself out of my arms, headfirst into the concrete floor, terrified me.

Adorable farm babies aside, I spent the afternoon gluing my mini and playing Skyrim. The mini’s hoop skirt frame is back in place, albeit precariously at best. I was in the middle of gluing the last bits in place when I thought, this bitch is going to be a total pain in the ass to paint with that framework. If/when it snaps off again, I’ll do my best to snap all of it off so I can finish the whole mini in peace. Then I’ll decide what I want to do with the frame. I have an idea on what I can do if it pops off again. Depending on how the process goes from the start, I might just preemptively snap it off.

I raided some bandit camps in Skyrim. From a distance, I’ve been hurling fireballs and using a bow. Up close, I’m still punching people, occasionally whipping out a dagger if my enemies are stronger than first expected. The weapons are both there mostly to fill soul gems so I can raise my enchanting skills.

Today, I’m going to assume a human form, and probably stream for a bit. An hour or two streaming on a Saturday is enough humanity to sate my appetite for socializing for a couple of days. Shawshank will be home in the afternoon, and we’ll see which one of us ends up failing the DON’T NAP challenge.
