Some things will never change, and I don’t understand why I expect otherwise.

Good morning, my friends. It’s Monday, and the start of a new week. The sun is out. With any luck, we’ll have sun all day.

We saw nothing but rain since Wednesday afternoon. Consequently, I couldn’t play in the yard. No workout, no poi. We finally left the house yesterday. I was going nuts. I have a car, I can go where I want, so I have no one to blame for my isolating except myself. However, I don’t know where anything is, and I don’t even know where I want to go in the first place. I don’t want to deal with little things like a destination.

I just want to be away.

For an hour yesterday, I was out of the house. It was only Walmart, but it was out of the house. I think my journey came about two days too late, because I was in really rough shape yesterday. My skin was crawling all day, I was itchy, I couldn’t stop scratching at myself. Everything was making me cry. I held it together for my video chat with Shawshank and then lost it again when we disconnected.

The shit has officially hit the fan at the pharmacy. BossRPh texted me and DayTech on Saturday to ask a question about a rumor she’d heard about StressedRPh having to do 60 Covid shots in a shift because of an appointment system fuck up. DayTech didn’t know anything. We figured since our location wasn’t one that was giving them, StressedRPh had been called into another location.

Nope. It was worse.

The system decided our location was giving shots. Patients started calling the pharmacy to confirm they were giving shots, as corporate had been clear that location wasn’t giving them. StressedRPh called the district manager, who said it was probably just a glitch and not to worry. However, 60 appointments were scheduled. The DM decided that rather than cancel the appointments, they would send some shots to the pharmacy. And oh, by the way, you come in on your day off. On top of that, they expected her to need to fit those 60 appointments in with all the other regular stuff. They wanted to shuffle the regularly scheduled staff pharmacist to another location because someone wanted a day off.

If DayTech survives without giving her notice, I’ll be pretty surprised. She hates working with StressedRPh on normal days. We used to joke that she was going to leave and work for BossRPh’s company after I left. Depending on how this shitshow goes, she may not be joking about it for much longer.

Chaucer is in my lap. He won’t be happy when I make him move. I want to get dressed and go do a workout.

Have a good week, everyone.
