Looks like it’s Hump Day. For the moment, it’s sunny. The forecast claims there’s an 84% change of 1.5 hours of rain, and I assume things will cloud over at some point in between.
I wasn’t able to unlock my last Just Dance achievement before the monthly event ended. I made several attempts to get it yesterday, but there’s a limit to how much “Murder on the Dancefloor” a person can handle. My best attempt put me within points of my goal. Later, I tried to record some leviwand video. I had fun playing with it, but the videos didn’t have much content good enough to post to TikTok.
Instead, I spent yesterday with two bags of hair, making my own locs. It went ok. I definitely shouldn’t make them while hunched on the floor like a goblin, because I tweaked my back. I was working with two different hair types, and one worked way better than the other. My main problem is determining how much hair to start with. My first set was a pink/yellow gradient, which turned out nicely, but very thin. They would have been perfect if I’d started with bunches that were just a bit thicker. I used a batch of white, glow-in-the-dark hair for the second set. They turned out much worse than the first set. The glow hair is not nearly as soft, and has a higher melting point. It doesn’t like to shrink and lock up, at least not with my flat iron. I had to use the crochet hook with those, which is slower and I’m not fucking good at it. I only managed to make four of them by the end of the night.
Today, I have the house to myself. I plan to take some pics, and play a game or something.
