Good morning, world. We’ve reached the promised land: the weekend.
This isn’t a real weekend. Shawshank is working both days, with a morning shift today and all day tomorrow. I felt/heard him get out of bed this morning and dozed for a while. Podrick eventually grew bored with the novelty of having someone awake and out of bed so early, and had started to poke at trouble in the bedroom just before Shawshank left. He gave me a kiss goodbye while I was in bed this morning, helpfully closed the bedroom door.
Last night was an experimental stream on Chaturbate while I tested out a new setup because I was determined to move the tripod off the bed so I had more space. This time I built a little table out of two chairs and a table leaf, set the beanbag footstool on it, then topped that with the Frankentripod. The entire bed was mine. I liked how much flexibility I had when it came to different positions to sitting and leaning. I didn’t like precariously balancing my ring light, trying to make it sit on one of the chairs.
I gave the new wig another go last night as well, pairing it with one of Shawshank‘s buffs to keep it under control and out of my eyes. Like new flow props, every wig has its own personality, and it takes a couple of wears for it to shine through. The locs I added were the perfect thing to give it a little extra pizzazz, and the buff worked amazingly well. I joked that with a few silk scarves, tight pants, and a mic, I could make a passable Steven Tyler. Dudes seem to dig the “weird neighbor/auntie who is hot only because she might be crazy” vibe.
I’m going to put on some makeup today, then spend a couple of hours on TikTok, probably playing Saints Row: the Third this time around. Unlike Skyrim, I don’t need to worry about wolves and assassins. Shawshank has Monday and Tuesday off, maybe I’ll buy a few scarves. Fuck Steven Tyler, I need to reach my full potential: Prof. Sybill Trelawney.
