Happy Friday, y’all. It is Friday…. right? Yes, I believe it is.
Y’all, I’m in a game funk. I want to play a new game. It doesn’t even need to be a new new game, I’d be happy to just start something over again. However, most of the games I own for the Switch don’t seem to have an option for multiple save files. Since I never actually finish anything, I don’t want to lose my progress in existing saves. I really want to give Breath of the Wild another try, but I don’t want to pay full price for both Breath of The Wild and its DLC. I’m currently mad at myself for not buying it when the digital version was on sale two weeks ago.
And now, with my birthday in a couple of weeks, I’m mentally chastising myself for wanting to buy anything for myself. You don’t give yourself presents for your birthday, that’s what I was told as a kid. What if someone else wanted to buy it for me? I do this with every gift-giving occasion: I want something before the occasion, but hold off on buying it for myself because I shouldn’t be buying gifts for myself. Then, I’ll undoubtedly get upset when I don’t receive the item, because it’s probably no longer on sale.
Or, I buy it myself, then I’m mad if I don’t like it because I’ve wasted money.
I don’t know how I’ve managed to survive nearly 46 years being this fucking neurotic.
