routines and cleans

Good morning, y’all. It’s a normal Sunday morning. My brain tried to convince me today is Thursday instead. I don’t know why, but I woke up firm in my belief I should go to the thrift shop today because shit would be on sale.

We made yesterday a productive one. Shawshank started puttering in the morning, wanting to reorganize and tidy up my corner and its pile of shit. He pulled things out and moved some things and I reorganized everything in a way I liked. The biggest change was throwing out the living room chair. We never sat in it, only the cats slept or sat on it. Without the chair taking up the entire corner, we can access both the closet and the front door. Additionally, Shawshank pointed out the corner would be easier to use for photos than what I had initially set up in the hallway.

After lunch, we settled into our routines. I grabbed some fabric and finished an almost-finished pair of pants. They turned out nice; I’m more pleased with them than the first pair I made using the same fabric. First pants finished, I finished a second pair I’d started up last week, this time a leggy-style pair made from a heavy brocade in a light caramel color. I made the waist a little narrower than my own, so I’m definitely not planning to keep them. As an experiment, I made a child-sized pair because the fabric wasn’t big enough for grown-up pants. I don’t know any kids, so I have no idea if they’ll actually fit anyone.

The highlight of the night was a dinner of nachos and cheese with leftover taco meat and black beans.

Today is chore day. Shawshank just loaded the washer with its first load. I’m operating under the assumption we’re going to Shady Acres later this afternoon, so I just need to feed the ADHDemons until then.
