revving up

It’s Sunday, it’s chilly, it’s gray, it’s TinyTown. I woke up a couple of times, resetting whatever sleepy talk down (there were three) was playing in my earbuds each time.

I tried to have a good shift, but I didn’t. It was terrible. I don’t know what the actual fuck is happening, but it was fucking ridiculous. I had people in my room, but they weren’t talking, and they weren’t tipping. My best guess is it’s a combination of the same “where is everyone?” feeling the other creators are getting, combined with my abysmal upload speed. I switched my phone’s plan yesterday, going for something with more data, but it wouldn’t be enough to do a month of streaming. While I could buy extra data packages, it would work out to ~$10/stream, and that’s just stupid. After about four hours, I logged out.

In another case of “I’ve spent more on worse“, I snagged “Burnout Paradise Remastered” on sale for $5 yesterday. Holy shit, is that ever fun. No story, just cars. The controls are similar enough to Saints Row: the Third that I was able to jump right in with very little issue. I played for about an hour before Shawshank came home last night. I was proud of myself for winning two races, earning myself both a motorcycle and a new car.

Shawshank is working a full shift today. I’m going to do my makeup and stream for a bit. Chances are good it will be better than yesterday; it couldn’t get that much worse.
