reasonably accommodating to the defense

Greetings and salutations, my interweb friends and acquaintances. Happy Humpday. It’s another cold morning here. Sounds like a good time for coffee and cats.

I had one of those half-and-half days yesterday. I had plans, and I put those plans in motion. By 10am, I had assumed my human form for the day and started to set the stage for work. Unfortunately, the butt-button wouldn’t trigger the camera shutter properly. This left me overwhelmingly upset because I knew Shawshank would ask how it worked when he came home. I would be forced to tell him he bought me some overpriced, cheap-ass plastic gadget that didn’t work. Eventually, I settled down, mostly out of fear I would ruin my makeup and fake lashes. I was able to configure the remote just before Shawshank came home for lunch, but the morning was lost, and I was still upset.

Shawshank came home for lunch with two packages under his arms. I opened the one that was a gift, and damned near burst into tears. Shawshank bought me an enormous fire blanket, so I can safely spin my fire poi. Once I find something to use as a fuel container/dip can, I can finally try them out.

After lunch, I got the butt-button working properly again, and took some pics. Since I was coming down from being worked up and upset before lunch, I decided to fill the tub and relax. I watched some of the Murdaugh trial from the bubble bath. Alas, really windy and cold days seem to suck the warmth out of the hot water heater and tub, and my bath was short-lived. I dressed and occupied myself with the courtroom live stream and Breath of The Wild.

Shawshank‘s boss sent him home a little early last night, giving him a bit of time to relax before we went out to dinner. After dinner, the relaxing continued, because I felt like I was going to pass out on the couch. As usual.

Today, I plan to do the stuff I didn’t do yesterday. I have some photos to edit from yesterday. Perhaps I’ll wash my makeup brushes, maybe bleach my hair. With any luck, Shawshank‘s Valentine’s gift and the truck’s registration will be in the mailbox.
