Hello, world. We’re outside the BlizzZONE that’s wrecking my spawn point. It’s still fucking cold out there. We’re trying to gray-rock Podrick in the mornings in an effort to train his brain to let us sleep past 5am, so I was forced to do the hard thing this morning: when he came up for cuddles and snuggles, I had to ignore him.
We did all the normal Sunday activities. Shawshank made us a delicious brunch and threw some laundry into the washer. After brunch, he went over to Shady Acres to clean their pellet stove and steal their vacuum. The big chores started when he came home. We rearranged the bedroom. It’s not a huge change, but it made a big difference to the open space in the room. The bed had been in the center of one wall, and we slid it into a corner. All the clothing shelves and dressers are on one side of the room. My side of the bed is now against the exterior wall. And you know what? A miracle happened. For the first time in two years, I didn’t overheat all night.
Also, I built a pillow nest. I love a good corner pillow nest.
I’ll be experimenting tonight; changing the bedroom means I have to set up my stream at a different angle now. I’ll have more room between the bed and the door, and I can move and dance if I want to. Alas, moving everything around the room dragged a lot of long lost articles of clothing out of the spaces they’d been hidden in. We have a bit of extra laundry to do this week.
