raise up

Good morning, world. It’s morning. Ain’t no one in this house happy. Podrick came into bed and we snuggled, and that was good. Everything else, up to and including the fact that I woke up, has fucking sucked.

After about half an hour of snuffling in my palm, Pod got bored and started making trouble, and I was forced to put him outside the bedroom. Things were fine for about 30 minutes, when I heard a noise that sounded like something between a thud and a crash. I got out of bed and set things right in the bathroom, then returned to the bed. Thirty minutes after the first noise, I heard a much louder crash. At that point, I didn’t care anymore. I left the bed, grabbed my pants off the floor, and came out whipping them around like a helicopter.

I’m not proud.

We mostly played NieR:Automata all afternoon. I made a couple of attempts to finish a quest, but gave up. Instead, I decided to spend my time doing things that advanced the story slightly rather than piss me off. I fought some mini bosses, then handed off the controller to Shawshank so he could play. The last time I played too long at once, I ended up playing 20 minutes longer because I started a fight that went much longer than expected. I made curry and noodles for dinner, and Shawshank cooked pork chops and did the dishes. We watched Tuesday’s wrestling and Nat Geo for the rest of the night.

Fansly has once again removed photos from the FYP. Some of the creator community is not handling it well, mostly falling into two camps:

  1. creators who only offer photo content
  2. disabled creators who promote using photos because they can’t keep up with the soul-crushing social media machine

The last two times this has happened, Fansly has backed off, but I think the decision might stick this time. One of their devs regularly answers questions on the advice subreddits and has made it clear that the majority of users do not want to see photos. The users only interact with videos, just skipping right past pics. Fansly has made it clear they’ve been forcing pics into the FYP for almost a year now so they get engagement of any kind. The users don’t want to see them, so they don’t get the engagement and actually lower overall activity on the FYP because Fansly keeps pushing them on people.

Today, I can go back onto TikTok and stream. I’m going to try something other than gaming (maybe I’ll paint minis), because Foot Clan is a bunch of chuds.
