Howdy ho, y’all. We’re enjoying a beautiful sunrise this morning. Both cats are in the window watching for birds. Pippin spotted one as it flew by and scurried up to the window shelf, and Podrick very quickly ran up to join her. The birds aren’t quite active enough to check the feeders. Once the sun comes up some more, enough to warm up the tree, then the birds will come to the feeder.
I’m very happy to see the birds actually eating the seed. We’ve tried to have the feeder out in the past, but either the birds completely ignored it or the deer pulled it off the window. This season is different. Both cats have experienced birds up close and personal now. We’ve seen three different birds visit the feeder so far: a chickadee, some small woodpecker variety (I haven’t busted out my Audubon book to confirm which), and the fattest sparrow I’ve ever seen. Yesterday, the two of them sat very still on the shelves, just watching.
Shawshank went to work. I set up the bedroom and got to camming. It was pretty slow to start, which I always expect when I log in. I think I’ve only had one day where I made money early on. Everyone in the cam model subreddits says you need to be talking constantly, but I’m not a big yapper and there’s only so many times I can talk about wrestling, my unending desire for greasy burgers. Last night, I managed to get my hands on copies of Anne Rice’s “Beauty” series, and Nicholson Baker’s “Vox” and decided to read to people. Not wanting to jump right in to the non-stop, page-after-page fucking of “The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty“, I started off with “Vox“. It’s a shorter novel, with only two characters, and the entire plot is these two talking on a phone sex line, making it perfect to read.
I think I made it through about 50% of the book. It worked amazingly, at least by my standards. Another 50 people followed me, putting me closer to breaking 1000 followers. I ended the night with about $58, $40 of which came from one viewer.
Today is Friday. Friday streams have been nice in the past, so I’m hoping for some more action tonight. After, we’ll watch some wrestling. I’m pretty sure Shawshank is working through the weekend, which means the next day off is going to be a slothy couch day..
Unfortunately, the next day off will have partial couch coverage – after grocery shopping, and laundry!
