Listen. It’s Monday and there’s nothing you or I can do about it. All that can be done is to suck it up and deal.

I think I start the week with a shift with Music Man. This is a good thing. Even better, there’s some dispute about whether or not the proposed change in pharmacy hours will happen at the end of the month. I hope they don’t change, because I really don’t want to lose any hours. And the icing on my cake? When I get home, I’ll have a yard again. I have a new lawn guy, who came out to see what it looked like yesterday afternoon and scheduled me for a mow today.

Shawshank is settled in at his hotel. His headaches have subsided, and he can enjoy a steady diet of airline food. He has an iPad for the moment, and we video chatted via Facebook all weekend.

Who wore it better?

Now that he’s made it into the country, the current hurdle is how he can travel from Montreal to the middle of nowhere. His valid driver’s license was taken when he was detained and wasn’t returned. He surrendered his passports two years ago, but they were already expired at that point anyway. At this time, the only photo ID Shawshank has are an expired driver’s license and expired US permanent resident card. Bus and rail travel appears to be shut down for the time being.

Also, to further complicate things, he can’t receive mail or packages at the hotel.

Why can’t I have a boring life?

Oh well. Time to get ready for work. Dinner tonight will be a peanut butter and banana sandwich (or two), and then I’ll spend some time on the couch with the boys. Have a good Monday, my friends.

While you’re both rocking this pretty good, you’re still rocking it better Ms Crystal. 😎👍👍

Hope your week goes great, glad you and Shawshank are past some of this crap.
