Hello, Sunday. It’s another sunny morning here, and it’s been a nice, quiet one (so far). Mostly. One of the crows is hanging out in the trees around the backdoor.

We made the most of our Saturday off. The day kicked off with a parade through town, because it’s a provincial holiday weekend. Shawshank drove us out to Slightly BiggerTown for groceries, as he’ll be eating dinner at home more than usual. I found some lipsticks at the pharmacy, and Shawshank grabbed vapes. We made one last stop to buy some lunch to bring home. The ride out and back was gorgeous. Lunch was tasty. We skipped the town festival again. It’s not worth the admission charge to get access to a couple of food trucks and a few goats to pet.

Summer Slam starts early in this time zone, so we killed a couple of hours watching Youtube. I opted to play some Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 later, even branching out of sandbox mode for a while and playing with the first scenario. By the time I finished for the night, I managed to complete the first two objectives. We listened to holiday fireworks.

We’re starting the week with day shifts for today and tomorrow, so I’m going to put on my face and get in the bedroom. Shawshank will come home and we’ll watch wrestling.

Good morning, world. Happy August. It’s sunny, the cats are fed, the crows are fed, and we’ve been caffeinated. The overnight was ok, maybe a little warmer than my body was happy with, but it is what it is.

Last night was the first stream where I ran with the #joi tag. Traffic wasn’t too bad, it felt like it was a little steadier and my room’s ranking was definitely better than Fridays usually are. It was a long time waiting before I made money, however, which really sucked. One guy stayed for over an hour, pushing two hours, which means

1. he’s fucking cheap
2. I’m a pushover and need to come up with things to say to make them tip, and
3. I probably should add #edging or something to my tags

The guy who stuck around gave the best compliment ever: I feel like this isn’t your first time doing this. Au contraire, bruh. This is all new to me. I don’t say shit to anyone. Not only that, but if I’m not devoting 97% of my energy to paying attention, my mask will slip and the little chaos gremlin will come out and I’ll say something weird/silly/unsexy while you’re jorkin’ it.¹ I made a little money though, and rewarded myself with an Irn Bru and a liverwurst sandwich. Then, I went outside to enjoy some poi. The sun was setting behind the house, the breeze was just enough, and I spent about 45 minutes out there.

We’re planning to enjoy our day off. Shawshank is taking us out to Slightly BiggerTown to grab some necessities and lunch, and tonight is the first night of Summer Slam.

Good morning, world. The heat’s broken and we’re comfortable again. Podrick slept in, only coming up to the bed for a cuddle once I was already awake and checking the overnight news on my phone.

The Thursday shift was productive, and I feel like I leveled up a little. I’ve been making the effort to make eye contact, or at the very least, look at my cam as often as I can. It makes a massive difference in traffic for me, and I need every bit of help I can get with that. I’m also talking nonstop. NONSTOP.

A month ago, I gave up the combination dirt-mall fortune teller psychic hotline shtick: dudes don’t watch witchy unless it’s a big-tiddy goth girl, which isn’t my niche. Instead, I’m learning to harness whatever it is about me that compels them to call me mommy. I’ve been leaning into a mommy-dommy JOI milf vibe over the last couple of weeks, experimenting with ways to gamify it. The last week or so have been ok, and I’ve pretty much worked out the simple, easy “rules” of the game. Yesterday afternoon, I whipped up a new overlay for my OBS, and it worked fabulously. It gave me something to work with as a launching point for my nonstop talking. More importantly, I had fun and made money.

Today is Friday, and Fridays are usually pretty sucky for me. I’m going to do some morning stuff, then get my ass on the bean again.

Good morning, y’all. The week rolls on, and we’ve hit Thursday. Podrick woke me while attacking the bedroom window’s screen, earning himself an early morning leg sweep. Aside from that, he was good.

The heat was awful yesterday. It was about 90℉ when I finished setting up the bedroom, but I logged in and made enough to buy a value meal from Wendy’s, if I still had a Wendy’s to feed my spicy chicken bacon Asiago ranch addiction. I had promised myself a post-shift reward: an Irn Bru. Since work sucked, no treats.

I put clothes on, made a sandwich for dinner, then played outside for a while. I couldn’t sit inside when it was so damned nice out. A thunderstorm hit TinyTown – barely – while I’d been working, and the air was still thick, but the sun was shining and the patio was clean enough to keep me barefoot. I enjoyed some spin time, then washed my hair and played Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 until Shawshank came home.

Today’s weather is supposed to be less brutal. I’m going to tweak some OBS overlays, fuck with my hashtags, and get online again.

Good morning, world. It’s another hot one here, with a forecast predicting 90℉+ for a high. We’re not there yet, but it definitely feels like it’s going to happen. The sun is shining, and there’s not much of a breeze. On the other hand, we were allowed to sleep in, with minimal interruptions from Podrick or lung stuff. A coughing fit woke me up in the middle of the night, prompting me to get up and hunt for my inhaler in the living room. I took a couple of hits from it, got a drink, and went back to bed.

Yesterday was the semi-annual road trip into polite society: Walmart. Shawshank drove us to the closest town big enough to have both a Walmart and a McDonalds. There was a quick stop at a gas station near BiggerTown, where Shawshank bought a cowboy hat and sodas to fuel us on the 90-minute drive. It was a gorgeous day for a drive.

Walmart was good. We did some grocery shopping, and picked up some stuff we can sometimes find in Slightly BiggerTown, but in smaller quantities and/or at higher prices. Sadly, I didn’t find any shaved steak. We found something similar we’ll try, but I honestly think the only way I’ll have a streak + bleu cheese grinder is if I go to the butcher and get them to shave some for me. If they’ll even do that.

We also grabbed some non-food stuff. I topped up my supply of $5 tank tops – I left with three, but could have been happy with a dozen. I tried to find clearance bikini tops for work, but there weren’t any. The only clearance I picked up was some emotional support chicken nuggets. Shawshank found some undershirts. We spent a Canadian amount of time looking at water bottles. I found two spoons in housewares that exceeded my “spoon acceptability” standards. Even the cats got a new toy.

It was nice to get out.

Shawshank stopped at McDonalds and left me in the truck to record a ridiculous Tiktok while he bought us some lunch. Then we pointed the truck back towards home. I unwrapped and handed him cheeseburgers while eating… nuggets, natch.

We’re back to work today. Hopefully the bedroom doesn’t get too hot to work.
