WP Prompt of the Day: Tell us about your morning routine.

I wake up before the sun is over the horizon, either because Podrick needs to be cuddled, or my body hates me. I’ll lay there for ~1 hour so, dozing between cuddle sessions, until Podrick does something to wake up Shawshank and we both get up. I feed the cats while he makes coffee. We begin the coffee and contemplation part of the morning, whereupon I open 15 Reddit tabs, and spend far too long to write up a blog post.

Good morning, world. We have 2 blue Jays in the yard today, and one of them keeps landing on the stair railing and the bird feeder hook to look in our big bay window and scream at Podrick.

I streamed for a while yesterday, and it wasn’t too bad. I had good lighting, and my ranking stayed pretty consistent for a change. I had a lot of broke strokers in chat, as usual. I’m trying to be better about not giving them the attention they want. There is a very, very fine line between keeping the chat moving and domming for free.

I logged out after a few hours, messed around with the internet for a little while, then played “Tropico 6“. I like popping in a new sandbox, loading a map, and fucking over the Crown. Last night’s map didn’t do as well as some of the others I’ve played. Maybe over the weekend I’ll play an actual mission.

Today is the last night of work. I think I’ll use my data tonight and go on the fast stream, and I’m seriously considering just starting topless and skipping all the bullshit.

WP Prompt of the Day: What’s the best way to meet new people while traveling?

I assume by talking to them. However, I can’t stress this enough: I do not want to meet new people. I don’t want to meet any people. I do not want to people.

Good morning, world. TinyTown is grey this morning, and the first snowflake ❄ popped up in next week’s forecast. I opened the backdoor for the cats. We’ll be putting their little surveillance table away sooner enough, let them have this morning at least.

Yesterday dragged ass. I set everything up and went online. The sun didn’t blind me, and I managed to sit for a 4+ hour shift. Chat was relatively lively, but broke. I’ll start busting out the Halloween shit soon enough. Even if it doesn’t do much for the menfolk, at least it’ll amuse me.

I logged out, made myself some English muffins, and worked on Fansly stuff for a little while. Shawshank came home and found me sitting on the couch in complete silence and got worried. I like the quiet sometimes.

Two shifts left. We have a three day weekend, but two of those days will be busy.

Hello, my little interweblings. It’s a sunny humpday, and the cats are enjoying the morning sunlight on their table by the back door. Mornings with table time are numbered. We had frost warnings last week, and my work laptop warned me that temps are expected to plummet on Sunday.

Last night’s shift went much more smoothly than Monday’s. I streamed for a few hours, logged out for dinner, then logged back in for another hour. I’m experimenting with my setup a little this week. I “work” in a little space in the bedroom, with my bean bag sandwiched between a wall and Shawshank‘s side of the bed. I use a table leaf jammed under our mattress as a “desk”. The “desk” holds my laptop and my cam’s adjustable arm/boom. My biggest issue has been a lack of space to stand up in. If I sat the entire time, that wouldn’t be an issue, but I like shaking my ass. Also, I’m old, and I need to stand up now and then. To fix this issue, I pushed the “desk” farther away, then jacked up the size of the text I need to be able to see. Voila. I have been upgraded from economy to business class. The setup is great, I just need to invest in another adjustable arm for my mic.

Today’s Wednesday. I’m going to be the best hoe I can be.

WP Prompt of the Day: What’s the most underrated life skill?

Being able to live alone. Not just because of the budgeting involved, but because being alone all the time is hard.

It’s another sunny morning out in the grass today. Podrick is sitting on the living room floor, watching what can only be described as a Hitchcockian level of sparrows.

I had a very weird Monday. Shawshank left for work, and I set up the bedroom to stream. It was sloooooow; I don’t know what my problem was, but I was draaaaaging. I was late logging in, but pushed through until my first break, refilled my drinks and went back to my stream. When the sun started to move into the window, I logged out. My plan was to eat dinner and let the worst of the sun move across the sky. I put the dish in the sink, checked the sun (still right on the bean), and returned to the couch to wait another 15-20 minutes. I guess my body needed a nap, because I crashed – laptop on my lap – right on the couch. I woke up over an hour later, groggy and confused as hell.

Most disappointing. I looked so good, too.

Today will be better.

WP Prompt of the Day: What’s a personal mantra or philosophy you live by?

I have two: People in hell want ice water, and you’ll never see a dead cat in a tree. Simply, you can’t always get what you want, and sometimes you need to do scary things to survive.

It’s a new week. Huzzah. As usual, the cats are doing cat things. Podrick hasn’t noticed there’s a fat little sparrow on the feeder, stuffing himself with seed before the sun comes up more and the other birds want breakfast.

We made it through our busy Sunday. We kicked off the morning with a drive out to Slightly BiggerTown with Shawshank‘s mom. Our first stop was to visit his dad in long term care. We arrived at breakfast, so we didn’t stay too long. Then we headed out over to the grocery store. We split up to shop, meeting up again at the registers about 45 minutes later. After one last stop for lunch, we headed back home. Shawshank brought groceries into both houses, ate lunch, then relaxed with a controller for a couple of hours. We’d invited his mom over for Sunday dinner, and I made a yummy soup for us. She brought over a small mason jar so we could send her home with some leftovers; Shawshank found another one in the cabinet and sent her home with two.

Today starts a solid, 5-day week for us. At least it’s a sunny day.
