One Step Closer to a Countdown

Greetings from wet and dreary Friday. I don’t know what happened overnight. While I don’t feel like it was a bad sleep, I woke up with half the blankets and one of Chaucer‘s pillows on the floor.

The meeting with the agent went ok. She got here a little early, but that was ok. I’d been awake and ready for at least an hour by that point. We walked through the house and went over what’s been replaced since we bought it in 2014. She thinks we’re in the range of about $75k more than what we paid for it, which is awesome. We just need to decide when to put it up, and if I want to be here when it does.

I think my best bet is to to put it up for sale ASAP, and put in my notice at work at the same time. If it sells first, lovely. But I can’t stick around, pay the bills, and continue to feed myself. The quicker it sells, the less I need to worry about where the next mortgage payment comes from.

Yesterday wasn’t a bad shift. I think I finished everything before we left. DayTech told me about how the Not-Nice-Very-Rude patient from the other day tried to steal drinks on Wednesday night. I switched shifts with DayTech, so I have the early shift today. I can start my weekend a little bit earlier. I’ll probably be getting home right around the same time that Shawshank leaves work.
