On your marks, get set, go

On your marks, get set, go

Good morning, world. Happy Wednesday. The skies are overcast this morning. It’s a thin frosting of cloud cover, which doesn’t do much to dampen the sunlight. I call it “brightly cloudy”.

Brian is off work again today. At the moment, he can’t really wear boots. He was ordered to stay in the chair with his leg up. This is good, because otherwise it leaks. It leaks.

After watching Mom and Brian deal with ointments and creams this week, I completely understand how my pharmacy patients would go through a 15 gram tube of some topical medication in 2 days instead of the week it’s supposed to last.

Me: You don't need to put a lot on it, only a thin film. It's not going to soak in so anything extra is just wasted.
Mom: I know, that's why I'm putting it on and not him.
Me: I was talking about you.

Thin layers. It’s a foot, you’re not frosting a cake.

I don’t think there’s any plans for today. With Brian home, I’ll have an extra 5 hours of HGTV to endure. We’re supposed to have a bit of rain today, unfortunately. The clouds have thickened up in the time I’ve been typing. I’ll probably alternate between the Switch, Tiktok, and general chit-chat with Shawshank and Discord.

Also, I need to share this masterpiece.
