Good morning, people. We’re continuing with the sunshiny weather here, but it’s very warm. I felt like I had a complete system shutdown just before I slept. My crash was almost Ambien-like in quality. One moment, I was awake. The next moment, I was racing to get things out of my nest before I passed out.
I went out for an hour or so yesterday. Mom‘s appointment was cancelled, so I went to the thrift store. I dropped off a bag, once more disappointing the donation crew by not allowing them to take everything out of the back of the truck. I bought a large, vintage suitcase. It’s roomy. And unwieldy. On the way home, I stopped and grabbed Wendy’s again. Fast food, on demand.
Once more, I wasted the afternoon swimming around in Subnautica. I swam the cave gauntlet and rescued MOTHRA I from the cave. My iniatial plan was to pull the upgrades out of MOTHRA I and put them into MOTHRA II, but I figured I should at least make a token attempt to pull it out. I’m still looking for the blueprints for something else while I avoid exploring the SCARY PLACES. There will always be something else.
After dinner, I killed more time swimming around and working myself into panicky in-game situations. Eventually, I decided to take advantage of the nice night. I grabbed the poi and went outside for the nightly spin time. The nights are nice lately; it’s not overwhelmingly muggy, so breathing isn’t a problem. Unfortunately, last night was marred by a fresh crop of bugs. Mom said the stretch of dry weather has all the insects kicked up. I couldn’t handle more than about 25 minutes outside before the small things flying around my face were upstaged by a beetle that came for my face.
About 20 minutes after I came back inside the house, Knickknack “ran” across the living room. Somehow, a small frog had made it into the house and the cat was on the hunt. I saved the day, rescuing the frog and putting it in the backyard.
Mom has declared we will be having Chinese for dinner. I’m thrilled.
