I slept through a bunch of episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation last night. I put it on after my call with Shawshank, to relax before going to sleep. Unfortunately, I fell asleep partway through Shades of Gray and woke up in The Booby Trap. I did the exact same thing at the end of the first season. I turned off the laptop and went back to sleep. I don’t know what time it was when Chaucer decided to make sweet, sweet tongue-love to a ziplock bag on my dresser. The noise woke me. I took the bag and its contents away, hid it under my blankets, and went back to sleep.

On the other hand, once I took the bag away, Chaucer snuggled me for the rest of the morning.

Yesterday was shopping day, as expected. What was unexpected, however, were the three stops before we actually started the grocery shopping. This weekend is Brian’s parents’ anniversary, and they needed gifts. We went to the florist, the hardware store, and to the Compound before starting our own shopping. Normally, this wouldn’t have been an issue. Yesterday, I hadn’t expected lunch to be a couple of hours late. We finally finished in the mid-afternoon, but I hadn’t eaten since Friday’s lackluster trip to the Chinese buffet. Factor in my absolutely terrible hydration habits, and by the time I actually sat down to eat, I was feeling pretty off.

Today, we’re going back to the Compound. Mom made a lasagna yesterday, so that will be today’s dinner. I have no idea what time we’re going over there. Brian seems to think we’re only going for the early afternoon football game, while Mom believes we’re going over for dinner. Either way, I should put on some clothes.

  1. Well, at least you know what’s for dinner, and you like it 🙂
