let’s be busy beavers

Good morning, and welcome to ✨The Weekend✨. I’ll be your host. Have a seat, or fix yourself a coffee. The sun’s up, and the cats are basking by the back door.

It was a good Friday. It was quiet, and I didn’t do much more than dance and sew. I played some Just Dance. I had some fun, and did a couple of new maps, but I think I just wasn’t in the mood to learn the choreo. Honestly, I wanted to play new songs, but I also don’t want to suck. Later, I just danced. Sometimes that’s better. I don’t pressure myself as much.

I sewed some bits onto pants, managing to fuck up not one but two out of the three pieces. In the grand scheme, they’re not really fuckups. Neither mistake is anything I need to fix before I move on, I only need to pay more attention while I close things up. I’ve brought the pile of pants needing elastic to at least 7 now. I’m going to have to put a block on starting any new genie pants until I list the current batch on Etsy.^*

The highlight of yesterday was discovering my hair does glow under a black light. My initial tests weren’t conducted with a bright or direct enough light source, I guess. I expected a couple of strands to react, because they’re the cheapest, brightest, neon pink you’d ever see. I thought the blue probably might, and maybe some of the pink locs. What I didn’t expect to glow was the deep green, which seems to react the most, turning bright yellow-green.

Shawshank is working today, so I’ll have a full day with the house to myself. I need to do some real work before I can start playing for the rest of the day. I’ll work on pants before I do anything else. I also want to go through the Etsy listings, maybe tidy things up a little bit to see if I can get more eyeballs on them. If the wind settles, I’ll take advantage of the sun and try to get outside for a while. I’ll probably snap a few pics if I can come up with an easy/nasty photo shoot outfit idea. Maybe I’ll put on something skimpy and dance on Clapper. Anything goes over there; I feel like it’s the MeWe version of TikTok. We’ll spend the rest of the weekend in sloth mode.
