It’s Saturday, and I’m up. I was up a couple of times this morning, accidentally waking up Shawshank at 4:37am. When I did finally get out of bed, it wasn’t long before Chaucer was demanding space in my lap.
Shawshank worked yesterday, so I had the morning to myself. I spent most of that time watching YouTube videos about drafting patterns on a dress form. I was all set to attempt my first project when I discovered I didn’t have any pattern-making supplies. Instead, I played a couple of hours of “Persona 5“.
Shawshank came home with supplies for a pot pie made from Christmas leftovers. It turned out delicious. We ate and watched a few episodes of the various series we’re watching.
Today, we’ll make the shopping rounds. Shawshank‘s at work this morning. He’ll come home around lunchtime, then we’ll drive out to Slightly BiggerTown. We’ll grab some lunch after we shop, then come back home. We have cakes to bake.
