It was a weekend and now it’s not.

Hello, folks. We’ve got another week in front of us. Like, it’s right here, so you may as well sniff its ass and see what you’re dealing with. Thus far, today is sunny and clear. Mom has a load of laundry in the washer. The rains are moving in tonight. Tomorrow and Wednesday are supposed to be wet. I should go outside and play today.

I sat down yesterday and did the stuff I didn’t want to do: my taxes. I had put it off because of the fear that I would be fucking slammed with taxes. Happily, I was fine. I’m actually getting a refund. I also texted my dad and wished him a happy birthday.

There. All the anxiety-inducing tasks complete.

I also spent some more time playing with the new scope. As gadgets go, the microscope is exactly everything you could expect from a $20 pile of cheap Chinese plastic. I’m pretty sure they took all the parts left over when the webcam market dried up and made microscopes out of them. The photo quality is … also worth $20. The first two photos in the gallery above are from my phone, and the second two are from the scope. I’d like to say the quality would be better if I wasn’t filming through a veil of condensation, but I can’t. Unfortunately, that would probably be a lie, because even the water droplets aren’t very clear.

I’m waiting for an email confirming my second interview with the dispo. I received one on Saturday asking me to confirm my availability for this week. Tomorrow was the earliest option, but it’s just a waiting game at this point. I really wish they would call me instead of emailing. I don’t look at my emails nearly as often as I should for someone looking for a job.

We don’t have anything planned for today. I’m going to go out to Walmart and look for something appropriate to wear for an interview. Mom assures me I can wear one of my cute dresses with some leggings, but I don’t have any leggings that aren’t… me. The Venn diagram of “business casual interview apparel” and “quirky personal style” has a very narrow area of overlap.
