IT’S SUNNY AND PIPPIN IS ENJOYING THE BREEZE. SPRING HAS SPRUNG. Unfortunately, the day got off to a rough start. I woke up early, way too warm. I’m pretty sure I fell asleep all snuggled against Shawshank, which definitely played a part. I rearranged myself, got my body temp under control, and eventually dozed. Pippin came in later, and we snuggled a little.
I woke up to a calendar notification. Today would have been Chaucer‘s 18th birthday. Shawshank picked up his ashes from the vet earlier this week, a little white urn about the size of a softball. He put it on the shelf with all the plants: forever in the window, in the sun.
Yesterday’s weather was nice as well. Shawshank left for work. I brought out Bongzilla, set up a Bluetooth speaker and my phone, and streamed a bit of patio spin time. It’s been too long. I spent about 45 minutes out there with the pod poi. The weather forecast for today is predicting today will be even warmer, but the wind is pretty steady.
Once I came back inside, I settled in for a couple of hours of scheduling. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I’ve been doing this for a couple of years now and I only just figured out I could cut down on content confusion by creating a schedule based on “heat level”. I have three tiers, and I try my best to make sure everyone gets what they pay for. I go week by week, and schedule one week of daily drops for the all subs. Then, I go back to the beginning of the week and schedule a second, tier-dependent drop for each day. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the mid-level folks get extra content. The lowest tier gets extra pics on Tuesdays and Thursdays. VIPs get stuff on the weekends, and whenever I feel like posting extra. Each tier has access to everything in the tiers below it, and I’m not constantly jumping to the scheduled queue to figure out if I’m forgetting someone.
Today is Friday. I would like to do some more scheduling today, before we hit the weekend ahead of us. Shawshank has two days off.
