I want to watch “The Golden Child” but I don’t want to pay for it.

Hello, world. It’s Monday. New week, new day. Pippin is in her window, watching TinyTown. Podrick’s playing in the litter box, I think. He and I have been up for a couple of hours now, cuddling. Shawshank and I crack jokes about how he’s not going to outgrow the finger-sucking. It could be cute to have a big, cuddly boy. He could also grow up to the size of the Shady Acres cats (easily 20lbs each) sitting on my chest, aggressively sucking on my hand.

Pippin lost another one of her safe spaces yesterday when Podrick figured out how to get onto her table. What started with him dangling from the lower edge of the window to look out very quickly turned into him sitting on the table. He’s quite happy with a new vantage point to watch the outside world. This might be the turning point in their relationship, where Pod learns his place. I don’t expect Pippin to take too much of his shit if he attempts to keep her off the table. That’s been her space since before I showed up.

I spent some of the afternoon on the patio, enjoying the sunshine and spinning poi. The weather has been very nice, and I can’t waste it. I sat on the steps, did two wicked bong rips, and turned up the music. I swept the patio, but probably should have put on some shoes anyway. There’s an unending supple of pine needles to step on. I spent the rest of the afternoon playing Balatro, playing until I won a game on the Zodiac deck after dinner.

Shawshank‘s helping out at Shady Acres this morning. His dad had hip replacement surgery a week or so back, and will be coming home some time today.
