What’s this? Not one, but two comfortable days? I’m not drenched in sweat from just breathing? This is amazing. I started off on top of the covers last night, but crawled under the weighted blanket an hour or two before the alarm went off. Only Chaucer was on the bed at that point, so I gave him some pets and was careful not to disturb him too much. It was raining, and I heard a few rumbles of distant thunder before I fell asleep again.
Yesterday, we worked with one of the new floaters they’ve assigned to us. We’ll call her Matryoshka, which is completely and utterly fitting for her. She’s very nice, and super helpful to us techs, especially if there’s only one of us. Why, you might ask? BECAUSE SHE’S SUPPOSED TO HELP. We got to chatting yesterday and it’s actual company procedure for the pharmacist to do things like filling/counting prescriptions when there’s only one tech scheduled. She was surprised StressedRPh doesn’t do this.
We’re literally the only store where this isn’t the norm.
I talked with my mother for a little while last night. We chatted about the progress on the house, and when I expect to put it on the market. She seems to be less upset about everything, especially since I made it clear that i would head south if the border is still closed when the house sells. Shawshank thinks that’s so she can work on convincing me to stay on this side of the border. I think she’s simply accepted the fact that this is what I want to do.
Mom‘s more upset with my sister, she’d like to come up in a couple of months when my sister has nephew #2. My sister told her not to bother. She’s a high risk pregnancy, and said she probably wouldn’t let Mom come over even after the quarantine period. However, she recently went back to work. Mom thinks that’s more risky than letting her visit after she’s quarantines.
I don’t know which pharmacist I’ll have today. I think it may be another split shift with StressedRPh, but I don’t know which have of the day she’ll be there. Since it’s Tuesday and a late shift, I can do a morning workout when this post is finished. My body feels better than it did on Sunday, and I think the rest day was needed. Before work, I have to stop at the post office and mail out the three auctions that finished up on Sunday. If I survive my shift, I’ll come home, and make some dinner; it’s chicken wrap night. Then I expect to spend half the night taking out trash for tomorrow’s pickup.
I’m so tired of throwing stuff out. There’s less, I know it, but it seems like there’s always more. Always.
