Hello, world. The sun is creeping up on another Thursday. The skies are clear and sunny, but that doesn’t mean shit. Fortunately, the forecast claims today will be warmer than yesterday. My phone “warned” me of a 14°
temperature increase compared to yesterday. With the temp up a little, I won’t be quite as worried about Zeppelin living outside. Our neighbor, Ruth, said she wanted to adopt him, but she hasn’t made any move to bring him inside after Shawshank said something about him potentially having fleas. While I’d love to see him have a permanent place, she doesn’t come home for days sometimes. That’s no life for a pet.
I survived a whole 10 minutes outside yesterday. I brought some food and water out to Zep before lunch, and spent a few minutes giving him some pets and stuff. Don’t ask why I stayed out there, because just giving him some love isn’t going to keep him warm. I know this. Half the time, I only end up feeling bad for caring for him and then leaving him out there. After some kitty affection, I grabbed the keys and started the truck up.
The Hot Mess Express is not impressed with this weather. It started, but certainly wasn’t happy about it. I sat out there for another 5 minutes while it ran, and then went back inside. By the time I was done in the truck, Zeppelin had run off for somewhere more sheltered than our patio. Shawshank drove back to work after lunch rather than walking.
Other than that, I spent the afternoon doing nothing. I took pictures of my feet. I recorded a video of my feet.
My Dungeons and Dragons infosession was ok. Only two of us showed up for it, plus the DM, which was about half of who had RSVP-ed. We went over the various parts of character sheets and talked about how stats are determined. Neither of us is completely inexperienced. I’ve played enough video games and MUDs to know the basics, just not the behind the scenes mechanics of the game.
I don’t know what I’ll do today. Maybe I’ll paint some minis or something. Maybe I’ll have a bathtub rave.
