heart attacks and tornadoes

Good morning, world. My excitement over yesterday’s sunshine was short-lived. There’s flurries today. I have a vague memory of being told there was more on the way. My mom lives in the area that has been under a lot of tornado warnings over the past couple of days. She said the weather they had was boring, and she slept through it.

I spent my Saturday alternating between getting my code to work, and playing Skyrim. The punch-cat is still punching- now with more force, because I bought better gloves. I finally went to Windhelm to talk to the jarl, after already crossing half a continent on foot to visit a few other towns. The WordPress plugin is working nicely, with some modifications to de-clutter the entry management screen. I can’t think of anything else I need to add or change right now. I think I’ve got maybe 30 posts I’m tracking. I’ll just keep entering stats, adding new content and updating along the way.

I was editing promo clips in the tub last night and damn near gave myself a heart attack. I use Capcut, which is linked to TikTok, and had just saved the clip. The confirmation looked just different enough – and included a “Boost this on TikTok!” message – to make me think I’d actually posted instead of simply saving the clip. After my pulse returned to normal, I got out of the tub, and we watched “Heretic“.

Today, we’re doing brunch, and then going out to Shady Acres in the afternoon. It’ll be a regular Sunday.
