Good morning, friends. Happy Sunday. I’m awake, and that’s about all I’m promising. We have some sunshine this morning. My trip out to the center of the lawn to pick up the newspaper demonstrated how it’s already warming up out there.
I did nothing yesterday. We went out to Walmart for groceries, where I bought the barest amount of stuff- just snacks. Once the afternoon got into full swing, I picked up the Switch and played some more Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.
I’m still loving it. For all of the differences between Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Skyrim, the one major difference that I surprisingly love is how there’s no fast travel. There is a way to quickly return to spots, but it’s limited to set places. At the moment, I can fast travel to three hubs. I have two additional points; item-based, I can set them down and return to them. The lack of fast travel to any point makes things a lot more interesting.
Yesterday, I decided to move one of those travel points. The point was set at a convenient camp I expected I’d have to return to at some time in the future. However, I was progressing through some of the main story, and travelling to another point in a totally inconvenient place that took me over an hour of real time to get to. Unlike Skyrim, just because I cleared a camp once, doesn’t mean it will stay empty.
I didn’t want to deal with that again because it was a BIG CAMP. I ended up walking that point roughly another “12-hours” down the path. Still inconvenient, but it could be a lot worse.
Since I bleached my hair the other day, I spent yesterday evening with a bag full of dye on my head. I really didn’t want to deal with a trip to the Compound as a blonde. At the moment, things are lilac. I haven’t decided what I’m doing with it, as it’s currently in a weird fluffy mullet-hawk.
I expect today will be similar to yesterday. I’m going to assume a human form, and hope I have a good Sunday. I could dye my hair when we return from dinner. It’s “tacos” tonight. Maybe I’ll even get outside tonight.
Dye your hair tomorrow, and go out and spinnnn. Play some funky music (white boy), and got yo flow on!
