Good morning, world. It’s Friday, and we’ve made it to the weekend. I woke up around 4am, so I’m in for a lovely day. Maybe I’ll sleep later. I probably should try, but the flip side of that coin is the possibility of a shitty time falling asleep tonight.
I was mostly productive yesterday. My NSFW Twitter account got the banhammer, and I was forced to switch to a backup, so I’m back to really shmoozing again. My original account had about 1100 followers – not huge, but decent for someone like me – and I’m back to square one again. I’m trying to keep the new one out of Twitter jail.
I worked on the pair of pants I started on Wednesday, pinning the pleats for the ankle cuffs. However, pleats are the bane of my existence. I was trying to neatly mash 40″+ of fabric into a 14″ cuff. Consequently, to preserve my sanity, I pinned and then put the fabric down. The fabric is striped, so the process is somewhat easier. Eventually, I’ll suck it up and do the shit work with a gathering stitch.
And while I didn’t actually finish anything new, I did take catalog photos of the most recent projects and uploaded them. I’ve developed a bit of a convoluted system of setting up Etsy listings. I find their shop manager easier to use on the desktop, but photos are easier to manage through my phone. I copy an existing listing to make a draft, then delete all the pics and info specific to that item. Then, I edit the draft on my phone, uploading the photos. One last switch over to the desktop again, where I add stuff like measurements and materials, and finally activate it.
Today, being Friday, is date night. My only must-do tasks are finishing the listings for the pants shop, and adding some stuff to the no-pants shop. I’d like to get in some spin time at some point, especially after dark.
