It’s Friday. London Bridge has fallen, the Queen lays dead but dreaming beneath the water. When the stars are right, she will return in her original form. You know her, you worshiped her. You know that when she wakes, she will devour everything in her path.
Today there’s more rain. Supposedly, the weather might clear up later today. I won’t hold my breath. A friend and I were discussing Florida weather, and how unpredictable it is day to day. “Florida weather is a wildcard”, they said. I have two simple rules for determining the forecast in my backyard.
- If I wake up to rain, then I can expect it to be shit for most of the day.
- If I wake up to sunshine, that’s when the wildcard comes in. Will it be sunny in the morning with a 3 pm thunderstorm? Will it be oppressively hot all day? Will we get one of those weird ass storms where the view out front looks like I should be making for high ground while the backyard remains sunny (but still torrential rains)?
Since it’s Friday, we may or may not be going to get Chinese food tonight. Brian’s leg is still gangrenous and plagued out, so who knows what we’ll do. I don’t expect we’ll be doing anything else today, aside from probably watching occasional updates on the royals. I’ll probably make plans to do real things but in the end, we all know I’ll only play some Baldur’s Gate 2.
