comfort not style

Good morning, from the gray prairies. Pull up a seat, cop a squat, whatever your preference. We have coffee. Typical morning. The cats were restless. Pippin took up a position on Shawshank‘s pillow and tried in vain to convince him to fill her bowl. I edited some video clips and hoped Chaucer didn’t notice I was awake. I’ve been up for a little while; I guess this is my “early” week. It is what it is.

Yesterday was rough. It wasn’t a bad day, but I was in a bad place. I really hate how a random thought or offhand remark can unexpectedly set me off. I’m much better at being mindful about it and not letting myself fall into the spiral. Unfortunately, I still have moments, and yesterday morning was one of them. I occupied myself by continuing the bodkin search. I eventually found it under a blanket on the couch. The bodkin’s recovery didn’t help my mood. By the time I found it, I didn’t even give a shit about finishing the pants. I fired up Tears of The Kingdom for some adventure and mindless asswhoopping. By the time Shawshank came home for lunch, my mood was a little better.

I kept playing all afternoon, then decided to be active and get myself some spin time. I started things early and opted for a pre-stream warm up with the leviwand. Instead of my regular little outfit, I wore the Avengers pants.

We’ve had warm weather for the last few days, and I haven’t decided which outfit is more comfy to spin in. On one hand, the skirt has a lot more exposed skin and can be pretty cool. On the other hand, the form-fitting “free the cheeks” bodysuit and skirt combination is warm where in the clothed areas. Later, after dinner, I took 15 minutes and finished the My Little Pony pants. They look adorable (to me).

Today is Date Night, and we’ll be going out for dinner as usual. I wonder if Shawshank‘s mom called the restaurant to let them know yesterday was his birthday and to give him a slice of pie.
