At least I put pants on.

At least I put pants on.

Good morning, my friends. Even though it’s a holiday and I have the day off, it’s a new week y’all. It’s a bit overcast in my neighborhood today. I haven’t been up long enough to catch a weather forecast and to see if the clouds stick around. Sorry, but I won’t share my coffee.

It’s been a nice weekend. Although Saturday was damp, it cleared up and wasn’t all that bad in the end. Yesterday was sunny and mild. I survived a 95-minute morning workout. I dyed what remains of my hair blue. After lunch, I spent some time outside with the poi in the afternoon, then again when it was dark.

Sadly, I broke my Bluetooth headphones during the afternoon spin session. When my earbuds (and their accompanying cord) got annoying, I gave up for the rest of the afternoon. Instead, I worked on Shawshank‘s “memoirs”, and transcribed three new posts. When I went out after dark, I took a little speaker outside. My shoulders are burning from spinning, and my legs are burning from the workout.

The woman who wanted my set of little chairs backed out. She messaged me yesterday to apologize, her husband had surprised her with a new patio set. Yet another thing that will take up space around my dining room for another month.

Update:

The weather report predicts cloudy and gray for the rest of the day. Perfect weather for the planned homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese on naan.

Shawshank has early lock-in tonight, so my phone call will be before dinner rather than after. He’ll be very jealous of my dinner, since they’ve been screwing his meals up for the last few days. For a change of pace, he switched his meal preferences to meatless. In the facility, that preference is ovo-lacto vegetarian, so he’d still get eggs and cheese, but no meat. Somehow, that preference was changed to strictly vegetarian. As a result, he received a meal that consisted entirely of cole slaw for dinner the other night. He talks about food so often in his letters, I started tagging things as “prison food“.

Today is going to be a slow day. I did the laundry yesterday, so all I need to do today is clean up the kitchen. I’ll transcribe a few more letters, and snuggle the cats.

I definitely won’t be getting dressed.
