Hey, peeps. It’s Wednesday. Y’all awake yet?
Yesterday was another mostly productive day. First, I did a workout once Shawshank made it to work. I popped a 75 minute workout on screen, and got my sweat on. I made it through about 30 minutes before I noticed that there was no wind, rain, or snow flying around. Seizing my chance, I bundled up and ran outside to clean off the deck and steps. Thankfully, the deck is easy enough to clear; I just push everything off the edge.
Once I finished the shoveling and the second half of my workout, I spent most of the afternoon renewing my efforts on the game of packing Tetris I’ve set up in the Pink Room. I found a bundle of bath towels and stashed them elsewhere. Unfortunately, I had to make a couple of sad decisions regarding replaceable and irreplaceable, which always sucks. I boxed up some things to mail out to both Mom and Shawshank.
It turned out the storm didn’t delay the trash pickup. I made at least 8 trips out to the curb last night, and 4 more this morning. The Pink Room is (mostly) empty right now.
I really wish I could just bring everything outside, put it on the lawn, and let people take things. Unfortunately, we don’t have a front lawn. Everything has to go out on the street in bags or boxes. Not only that, but I fucking hate people opening shit up and going through it. They never put stuff back, and then it looks like the fucking toy section at Savers in front of the house. When I brought things out this morning, I found half the boxes opened up, picked through, and shit was left out on the ground. It’s a somewhat violating feeling. If it wasn’t obvious things we rifled through, maybe I wouldn’t be upset.
Today is a human day. And, it’s not just a “pretend to be human” day, where I just get dressed and stay home. I need to leave the house today. First, I have to go out and buy some more trash bags and a lighter. Then, I have to bring in all of the boxes I have stashed in the back of the truck. Sometime later today, someone should be here tonight to check out the dining room set. Hopefully they like it enough to take it. If not, I’ll tell my sister to ask dad to buy it off me.
Let’s get human.
Today, I’ve shovelled snow twice! This being fit is for the birds!
